The Dark Knight Rises (2012)
Boring. And Un-Batman like. There went a point in the movie when I got bored all of a sudden because it was so much talk and barely any action. Not that the backstory of Bane was needed. Even if it was, Bane sucked!
He was not the same one as in the cartoons where he uses some chemical to make himself get bigger and stronger. He was just an ordinary man and even Batman could not do anything against him. Worse, Batman just kept on trying to fight him through physicality.
Why not uses any of the gadgets he has. See? Catwoman zonked him in just one hit from Batman’s cycle gun. He was pathetic. Bane’s character design sucked too!
The character of Catwoman was very well played out. At least there was no sort of cat bit woman backstory then became Catwoman.
Even though during the last part featured non stop action as Batman and friends try to take out the bomb from exploding, the action scenes were not that epic. They were dull. If only Batman used his noggin’ and did not fight Bane through fists.
Even the cartoons never feature Batman winning over Bane through physical prowess. It was always through quick thinking on getting that chemical hose cut off. So there is no chemical inducing strength for Bane in the movie, but hello? Batman could easily hit him with his weapons at any time.
So blech! This was not a good movie. The previous two were better.
