Snow White And The Huntsman (2012)
Well, I did not expect the Twilight star to be Snow White. I thought she portrayed some other character. Guess I was just too focused on Charlize Theron being the evil queen that’s all.
The movie is surprisingly good but the story does not revolve around a kid’s fairy tale plot. Instead, Snow White fights.
There were just a few things that were questionable.
- When Snow White escaped, she survived. Man … she was trapped when she was a kid and she did not know how to swim. But she is the main character so that is the only explanation.
- The evil queen showed some powers of her own but overall quite pathetic. She could not put up a good fight when she was about to kill Snow White. Bad plot sequence.
- How could Snow White be alive again after the huntsman kissed her? People thought Prince William would have been the one to make that happen.
- How could Snow White kill the evil queen when I thought she was immortal to begin with?
Kristen Stewart’s expression through the latter part of the movie projects as if she is horny. Ha ha. Got you there but that was what I think and it got to a point where it was tiring to see her project like that. Kinda like how Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts kept giving out the same facial expression over and over.
Good thing I did not watch the Twilight series.
As for the evil queen, I can’t blame her how she came to be. And I got confused when Prince William showed up because it sort of felt like a love triangle although no scenes were really shown. So the huntsman thought Snow White was like her wife so why did he have to kiss her? Weird. Ha ha!
The movie would not be complete if there were no dwarves in it. Yes they were there but their characters were like side characters.
Overall, this movie is a must watch. I wonder how the other Snow White is. I have yet to watch it but I will!
