Anything Goes

Contrary to what most of my friends told me, this movie is not that bad. I guess they were disappointed like I did because I expected the whole Green Lantern Corps to help Hal Jordan fight Parallax. But instead, he fought against the enemy all his own and it was very much a short fight won by what Killowog taught him during his training.

Also, Blake Lively sucks here. No offese. She is beautiful and she is a good actress but her acting is limited to roles like Alicia Silverstone’s Clueless type. Her acting here made the movie bad. Still, I do not see this as a bad movie overall.

Expectations were not met but more so I think this movie is on par with Thor. Even my expectations in that movie did not materialize and it was such a short fight against Loki.

And oh yeah, this is a pilot movie so it is expected that most of it will revolve around the main character’s history before being cast as a Green Lantern. If there will be another Green Lantern movie, there would be no more excuses for less fight scenes.

Heck, I ain’t even looking forward to watching that new Spiderman movie again. How many times do viewers have to watch how Peter become Spiderman? It is old news.
