The End Of The PDIC Saga

I finally got the last check through PDIC because of that damn Legacy bank. Took almost 3 years, can you imagine that? Or aren’t you surprised about it? And look where those head honchos are now? The issue has gone quiet since. Those people were clearly guilty.

Oh boy … as much as I hate about what happened to my accounts, there is nothing more to be done since no matter how much the case will be pursued, those people are going to get away anyway. It was a good thing I stuck with banks that actually had offices.

My aunt was not so lucky because she had accounts in ghost banks that never existed but that the application and account processing went through a relay bank. Once the banks closed down, that was also the time she found out some of those banks never existed.

It was goodbye. And a happy welcome to those dreaded frauds who surely had smiles as wide as The Joker.

With regards to PDIC, well, you have to keep on following them up. The problem is that they have no toll free number so you end up shouldering the cost of calling them long distance. Sucks, right? If you do not keep on getting tabs with them, your account may be in limbo unless you take matters into your own hands and follow up month after month.

3 years is a long time coming. While I did get my other 2 accounts last year, this last one finally closed this arduous chapter.
