Annoying Asthma
Asthma has long been a disease to which I am accustomed to. While not really as bad as others have or are experiencing, I used to feel like that when I was younger. As I grew older and have distanced myself from sports, I do not get asthma attacks as often as I used to.
Having asthma is a very annoying experience. This chronic lung disease inflames and narrows the airways thereby making it hard to breath. Asthma causes recurring periods of wheezing which I like to call it violin. Coughing also accompanies asthma and it often occurs at night or early in the morning.
These days, I tend to get asthma during a cold season. While I am all for cold weather, there is something in the cold weather in the Philippines that makes my asthma tick. At least this is what I have concluded considering I never got asthma when we went to the U.S. for a month and it was nearing winter that time.
Asthma cannot be cured and I know I will have to bear with this for the rest of my life. But hey, life is all good. With today’s knowledge and treatments, most people who have asthma are able to manage the disease. The Internet is a haven of knowledge and anybody can easily look for information how to manage one’s self when one has an asthma attack.
