The Nutty Professor Animated (2008)
Some 45 years after Jerry Lewis gulped down the formula to switch him from brainy geek to swaggering ladies’ man on his way to a box-office classic, his computer animated grandson is about to do the same thing for a new generation.
I have seen the live action movie and I thought that the plot was sort of fast. There was really no scene where he found out about the personality switching formula. It seems that Harold’s grandfather already has experienced the same long ago and is able to freely switch at will.
Harold does the same to impress a girl but finds out that things got out of hand and it is up to him to face his fears to bring back things to normal and well … get the girl of his dreams. The way the CGI animation was done looked a bit dorky even with the way they move but the humor is pretty good. There are lessons to be learned like just being yourself was the secret to winning Polly.
The movie is actually good. Not very super entertaining, but not half bad.
