You have said it right. She is a symbol of courage and beauty. She was humiliated by stripping her title by the Miss Philippines organizers. She even had to face the criticism of being an illegitimate girl. She did not grow up in rich environments. She spent most of her life in a Nippa hut in the middle of a paddy field. She mostly had critics, not much admirers! She came 4th from out of 84 contestants (not 80). And I feel if she had the right support she would have won the Miss Universe crown!
