We celebrate it, we enjoy it. But have you ever wondered what Christmas is? Delectable meals, exchanging gifts by the side of beautifully adorned trees, this is what we comprehend of the Christmas holidays but the purpose of it all is to celebrate the birth of the Lord Jesus whilst coming together with your friends and family and bonding with one another.

While they say Christmas is about giving and sharing, it is also about happiness and joy. If a terrorist attack would happen on that day, it would be utterly disastrous and that day of merriness, joy and happiness would turn to sadness, pain and suffering. Quite the opposite.

This is what The christmas special novel is all about. It is a thought provoking political thriller revolving around a series of Christmas morning terrorist attacks. Beside the death and destruction wrought by these attacks, the day that this happened made it worse. This novel brings together current events with fiction creating a sobering reality of an event whose actual occurrence is certainly probable.

The novel also revolves around a young couple, a Muslim girl (Sheeva) falling for an American boy (Jason) who face the hardest choice in trying to choose between helping to prevent this from happening by informing authorities that her father is a terrorist leader who plans attacks on Christmas day, and her boyfriend going to jail for harboring her may get him accused for statutory rape, lascivious conduct with a minor and other charges, or saying nothing and knowing their silence can become death of many.

This, in my opinion looks to be a good novel to read.
