Sunburned!

When I was a kid, I used to believe that the salt water of the beach gives you sunburn when it is dried up by the sun on your skin. What I did often was to make myself wet so that my skin won’t dry up and I would not get sunburn.

Even when I was not frolicking in the beach waters, I would not get any sunburn. That was before. Later on, I realized that even when you are just out in the open, the sun can burn your skin. Or, if there is no sun, the humid wind is the culprit which was the case when I went water rafting with my cousins and siblings. It was a sunless day but just to be on the safe side, I applied sun block on my arms, neck and face but I did not put any on my legs.

After our rafting, I saw my legs turn red. Ouch! The wind did it! Grrrr … Always on the safe side folks, apply sun screen on every part of your body to be sure. Global warming is making the heat worse, it is always good to be cautious so never forget to place some sunblock when you are out in the open too long.
