Avatar Tops Titanic At The Box Office

It was bound to happen sooner or later at the rate Avatar is going with its success. Avatar is now the highest grossing movie of all time as it eclipsed worldwide box office sales of the previous top-selling flick, Titanic. Avatar will only continue to bring in cash since the film has only been in theaters for 6 weeks.

But, one thing crossed my mind. With the figures that they had, I am not saying this is a fluke. Think about how much movie tickets cost during Titanic’s run and the cost of movie tickets now? A big stark difference that’s for sure. Plus, the power of social networking has boosted Avatar through chats, word of mouth, tweets and others.

Avatar’s sales will continue to rise as I have not seen the movie myself yet (maybe this weekend I will finally watch it) so add another to its total sales after I watch it ;). Who knows, maybe Avatar 2 will surpass this one as well.
