Alvin And The Chipmunks The Squeakquel
Pop sensations Alvin, Simon and Theodore end up in the care of Dave Seville’s twenty-something nephew Toby (same lead actor in the Chuck tv series). The boys must put aside music superstardom to return to school, and are tasked with saving the school’s music program by winning the $25,000 prize in a battle of the bands. But the Chipmunks unexpectedly meet their match in three singing chipmunks known as The Chipettes (Brittany, Eleanor and Jeanette). Romantic and musical sparks are ignited when the Chipmunks and Chipettes square off.
The story looked mostly the same as in the original movie and you will see the same evil manager whom the Chipmunks ditched back in the first movie. This time, it is the Chipettes’ turn to ditch him. The movie was not bad since I got to see those cute little chipmunks. They are just so adorable. But other than that and the girl chipmunks, the movie really had nothing new to show. This movie though chose great and cool songs to chipmunkized (this is just my term ha ha!).
My wife simply loves Theodore and his teeny weeny cute voice. Kids will surely enjoy watching this movie even if they do not understand the plot. Just watching those chipmunks can put a smile to your kids face. Even if I am an adult, it did to me. How much more to your kid ;).
