Christmas Away From Home

This is going to be one weird Christmas for me. I have never, ever been far away from my family until now. Since I am married, my wife and I have to divide our time with our families during the holidays. If we spend the Christmas here (her family is here), then New Year’s would have to be at my hometown, and vice versa. This is life, I have to deal with it. I have never missed the Christmas season with my family. The fact that I work away from my hometown, I always have to travel just to be with them, until now. I know I will find it weird at first, but I guess in time, I will get used to it. I have to get used to it, lolz. I am just lucky that my work does not force me having to work during Christmas and New Year. At least I always avoid jobs that puts me in that position. Think Call Centers? Lots of them cannot go home because of their schedules and work.

Christmas is a few days away now. So good luck to me haha. We all want to be with our families as much as possible. I kind of miss them more now that I am married. I know, I know. This is one of the adjustment phases that inevitably I will have to face. Back when I was still a kid, I always looked forward for Christmas presents given to me. Now, all grown up (and old? haha), if I will be given a gift, great. If not, it is alright. What matters to me most now is my family back home, and my own family.

Like what you see? Buy me a cup of coffee. I love cappuccinos.
