The Sizzling Pepper Steak
Finally! My wife and I finally got to dine in one of the new food establishments in Ayala’s The Terraces. Our first choice was supposed to be Siam, a Thai food establishment. I thought about waiting but decided to look for another place since they were already packed and there was no staff to assist newcomers who would like to reserve a table (bad service! blech!). We ended up with The Sizzling Pepper Steak since, miraculously, there were not much people in queue there (even more so in Teriyaki Boy).
The place is pretty small but it’s clean (well, it’s still new). The prices of the food, I’d say, are alright. I ordered one of their kiddie meals because I figured the photo in their menu looked like the serving’s pretty ok. And I was right. The serving content was pretty decent. I just found it a bit funny because the Kiddie Meal is already priced a bit high, what more for non-kiddie meals :D.
So I ordered their Hambuger, Shrimp and Pastas Kiddie meal worth 165.00 pesos. It already comes with a free iced tea drink so no need to worry about liquids ;). Check the photo below or click it to get a larger view.
We also ordered Sizzling Tori Toma, worth 180.00 pesos. It consists mainly of egg and at the center are some chicken meat.
The last item we ordered was the Peppered Chixsteak which is a combination of chicken, some raw vegetables like sauteed, carrots and beans. Priced at 185.00 pesos
Their Japanese rice is a bit pricey for me though. Nothing Japanese with the rice. Even the taste tasted plain. So I can’t give any compliments for a plain rice that is priced at 35.00 pesos with nothing special about it.

I cannot believe how pricey food is in the Philippines. When I was in college, the P45 chicken joy with choice of rice or roll was too expensive for me. I don’t know if I would like to eat at restaurants still., I might just stay home and buy some chicken and cook it myself. cheaper and tastier and I can share it with my nieces and nephew. I am a cheap-o when it comes to spending.
Rice for 35 pesos? hmm…I might not go out when I go visit the country. Your pictures looks like it won’t be enough for me. I have a good appetite, so I guess, I would have to order 2 of whatever I want to eat and I won;t get satisfied? Not good..
