Anything Goes

Some of you may be familiar with this brand. It’s a brand for tonic water that, in my opinion is expensive. So last weekend while I was on one of the grocery aisles in Rustan’s, I chanced upon Perrier. Seeing as I had no idea what it tastes like, I took one just to try it. Funny, my first taste wasn’t a sip. It was a big gulp. I took in a huge amount of tonic water on my first try. Yuck. It tastes worse than Ampalaya. I thought tonic water is just water with some added taste. While tonic water is indeed bitter, I did not expect it to be that bitter. Because it is carbonated, it tastes like that, probably worse than one would expect. Tonic water is a famous mixer in cocktails. There won’t be a next time for me gulping down just pure tonic water. I never got to finish drinking the whole can. I think I only drank like 1/6 of it. If there will be a next time, it will be with a cocktail or some other alcoholic drink ;).
