Anything Goes

Ever since I got married, I got pretty busy managing stuffs and organizing things that we needed to do. Hence, my wife and I never had much of any chance to watch a movie in our laptop. We don’t watch movies in cinemas anymore as they’re outrageously expensive. Even if moviehouses have bigger screens, my MacBook will do. I get to save almost a thousand bucks for every movie watched. First movie we watched was Wanted. At first, during the early part of the movie, I was like … #$^?! Assassins shooting guns and the bullets do not move in a linear motion while even jumping from one building to the next??? I thought to myself, was I watching a Matrix like movie? As the movie went on, I realized that it’s not that bad. The movie had a unique storyline, though impossible in real life, but unique. Turns out the Wes (the actor of the show) is the son of a famous professional assassin who was murdered and his old organization recruits him to kill his father’s murdered. I wasn’t quite surprised to learn that in the end, his father was the good guy and that the group that recruited him called the Fraternity, headed by Morgan Freeman were the bad guys (though the grunts never learned about it until the end when Wes divulged everything and turned out Morgan Freeman was the lone bad guy in this whole situation). When his father first showed up in a store where he was actually aiming for Angelina Jolie and that it looked like he was aiming for his son, I didn’t think he was the killer because his face was too not serious, having a killer-like look. Too bad Angelina Jolie died in the end, I’m the type who never likes lead actors to die. I soooo hate that. If the movie would be like Gundam Seed where Kira owns everybody that is just neat. I know, you’d find it boring if nobody can own the lead actor, but that is just what I want in a movie haha. Overall, the movie ain’t bad.
