New fares for jeepneys now at 8 pesos. .. For the first 5 kilometers that is. So far though, I haven’t rode in a jeepney that charges the new fare. After all, if they have no updated matrix posted in their vehicle, then they have no right to charge us the new rate, else they’ll get fined and punished. Problem is, even if you find an erring driver who went against the rules and charged you the new rate even if his matrix is not updated to the new one … and report him to LTO (Land Transportation Office), you would have to personally go yourself to file a report (What a very long sentence haha). Wuht?!?!? I’d have to spend more money to go to the LTO office just to report a driver? Whatever happened to hotline numbers? Or text messages? The solution passengers are given is the same as no solution at all. Who’d give a damn in going to the LTO office and waste one’s time just to file a report that’s so much of a hassle to do??? Think about it. I can’t even see that as a solution but a waste of time. As much as I want to report erring drivers (especially that lesbian driver who charges an additional 1 peso if she thinks it’s far, or maybe she’s just near sighted that’s why she thinks 5 kilometers is actually 3 kilometers), I have more important things to do than cramp myself in the LTO office just for that.
