Anything Goes

I must be losing my head for watching all kid movies in one day. I just watched Nim’s Island and I thought it would be another sci-fantasy movie with powers and magic. Turned out to be just an ordinary story of a girl and her dad inhabiting an island and calling it their own all the while when the dad had to go back to the real world for something, got stranded mid-sea because of bad weather and the girl had to defend the island against a group of people who planned on making the island somewhat of a resort. Again, this is a kids movie, obviously kids would love it especially if people and animals understand each other (seal, pelican, chameleon?). This movie was so and so for me, did not appeal much as it was too kiddie for me.
