4 Faces Of Darkness
May 15, 2008 I life.Reminds me of the title of a 4-part episode of Transformers Generation 1 Animated Series. For those who had read all of my posts, I’m pretty sure that you’ve noticed my ramblings about the noise near my house that happens every night and every day. Sometimes I wish that it would rain hard because then, I can sleep soundly. The sound of the rain is natural for me so I don’t get affected unlike snores, shouts and music with too loud bass tones. There are 4 culprits that always annoy me every night. If I want to sleep early because I’m dead tired, I couldn’t. Because Yayoy’s Grill has a band almost every night that keeps on playing until near midnight. So I would have to wait until their band stops playing because I can’t go to sleep when their music plays. It doesn’t matter what kind of music. Music is music and I need total silence. If there are events, their loud mouthed guests are noisy, and when they sing happy birthday, they sound like abnormal people. The next culprit is the family whose room is just in front of my room. The sound like giants because they have big voices. Even the wife doesn’t sound sexy because she sounds like a man. The husband sometimes says “aaaAAAAAHHHH” which can surely wake anyone up. Just imagine the distance between our rooms, around less than 10 meters I think. Either they talk aloud, or the baby cries or their eldest daughter talks with a sound like a crying banshee. The 3rd culprit is a mysterious one. I keep hearing music in a low volume and I can’t pinpoint where it is exactly from. Either it’s from a bar at the end of the road, could be the room beside the room in front of my room. Although it doesn’t happen every night, but when it does, it can stay on until the wee hours of the morning. And it’s the same bass tone that I keep hearing whenever I hear it. The last face of darkness that annoys me is one of the family member who lives in the house in front of my room. Sometimes he brings along his friends and drink outside along the road, they suddenly shout, make some noise, or laugh too loudly. This is one of those instances where I wish that it would rain without warning so they would get soaked right away and catch pneumonia. These, people, are the 4 faces of darkness that hound me almost every night. There is always one of them that does true to what I just mentioned. Life is cruel, life is unfair. And sleep sucks, when you have neighbors like them going at you every night.
