Anything Goes

This series somehow gets overlapped by its theme song. Instead of focusing on the series itself, I get transported into a different world when its theme song starts blurting out its lyrics. And how it’s sung is so o.a. that I get irritated whenever I hear it. Chin-Chin Gutierrez acts abnormal (or is that just how she normally acts?). Christopher de Leon, supposed to be a good actor, acts like he’s overly mad as hell in every episode whenever he gets mad, contradicts to how good he acted in a movie with Ann Curtis way before (forgot the title) that got me impressed with his acting skills. He is overdoing his acting. I first thought Ann Curtis doesn’t look pretty anymore, but I was told that it was because she has cancer that’s why they made her look like that. Can’t say much about the series, only that whenever the theme song starts playing, the series loses its existence to a song.
