Blu-ray, also known as Blu-ray Disc (BD) is a format that was developed to enable recording, rewriting and playback of high-definition video (HD), as well as storing large amounts of data. The format offers more than five times the storage capacity of traditional DVDs. This extra capacity combined with the use of advanced video and audio codecs will offer consumers an unprecedented HD experience.
I was attracted to a TV display yesterday showing the Transformers 2 movie and it was through a blu-ray disc. the movie looked like it is you taking the video of the movie. Looks really weird actually. And if this is how all blu-ray movies look like in HD TVs, then I think I would prefer the older versions. It was like I was looking at some amateur video shot in real time. Now … how would an x-rated film look like in blue-ray? ha ha!
