Like the original, Tomb Raider: Anniversary follows the same basic tale of Lara’s hunt for the Scion of Atlantis as she does battle with conniving businesswoman Jacqueline Natlas and her various henchmen. You will explore ancient tombs and forgotten cities in Peru, Greece and or Egypt while performing plenty of death-defying acrobatics as you work your way through massive, ancient and often deadly puzzles.

This is actually the very first Tomb Raider game I have played in any console. Control issues aside which is unpleasant when fighting against enemies like wolves and bears, Tomb Raider: Anniversary remains a dynamic and exciting adventure. And while I am still in the early stages of the game, at least there are not much wild animals running amuck. I did see a photo of Lara fighting against a dinosaur so I am guessing that will appear near the end of the game.

I can compare this game to Prince of Persia where there are a lot of acrobatics, jumping, swinging and diving. While Prince of Persia did feature more enemies than Tomb Raider, the overall game play controlling Lara is alright. At least I do not feel dizzy after some minutes in playing the game. The sound adds an eerie atmosphere to wherever Lara goes.

I have never played any Transformers game in the PSP so when I chanced upon Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen based on the hit movie, I was overly excited to download and try it out. This third-person run-and-gun shooter game is bad … and boring.

You cannot transform at will, only when you activate your special powerup move will your character be able to transform. Then you will have to watch a few seconds worth of action scene from that powerup before your character transforms back to robot mode and that’s it. You cannot manually control your chosen robot at will to transform to vehicle and back. Plus, I was pissed when I played the Demolisher character of the Decepticons. This character suddenly turns itself 180 degrees even when I did not do anything to make it turn around. Add the game’s unwieldy character movement control and this game totally sucks.

While the game follows the movie’s plot and storyline, the fact that you have to switch between Autobot and Decepticon campaign after almost every mission is accomplished is annoying. It has been only a few levels that I played this game and I totally lost my appetite for it. Transformers fans may not care what the game offers but this is a disappointing game.

Time to surf for cheat codes so I can finish this game up and go on to the next game …

I totally stopped playing this game after I continually played Naruto Shippuuden Legends: Akatsuki Rising for the PSP but it does not mean that this is a bad game. In fact, it is an entertaining one much like Dax & Jaxter although with a different set of characters and environments.

At the beginning of this adventure, Ratchet and Clank are on vacation and lounging around, when they are approached by a little girl named Luna, who wants to take some pictures of Ratchet acting heroic. He sets off to bust up some robots and the girl is kidnapped, dropping a device that points the duo toward a mysterious race of tiny creatures.

And it’s off to quest after quest after quest, some in a linear sort of way to get the girl back. Without detailing the particulars of the game’s plot, all you really need to know going in is that the game’s story is good, the humor is there and it drives the action along quite effectively. With some gizmos and weapons on hand, you move from place to place blasting enemies.

In addition to upgrading your weapons, you can earn life points as you eliminate enemies, getting you up to a total of 50. You can also collect pieces of armor and swap them out at will. If you can collect a complete matching set of armor, you will get a bonus to your wrench attacks, like fire or ice, but some of those armor pieces can be tough to find, so you will have to search around if you want some of the more advanced sets.

A good game overall. Great graphics, good music and fun gameplay.
