Well … who knew? Not even I expected this. My guild mate told me about it so I checked to verify and there saw my name in last place of the top 25 of sorcerer character players.

Temporarily … ha ha! I looked at it today and did not see my name anymore but hey, it was good while it lasted. And I figure to reach #10 if they update the list again because I just finished the 90 second Hauntlet Run achievement but it looks like the leaderboard list is not updated real time.

This is a really good game and I had been writing about this for like 4 posts now. If you have not played this game, play it! It is free! You do not need to spend anything unless you want to open all achievements than you have no choice but to buy some since those free platinum coins are not enough to open all achievements in a short span of time.

Oh yeah, if you do not have a guild yet, look for Arcanian Hooligans! Great guild!

Update: I went up to #11 the next day. LOL. Not bad.

kindleThe Amazon Kindle Fire is cheap. Very cheap. It features powerful hardware with tons of e-books and apps to take advantage of. And many of them are free!

Free kindle books are available in their app store which provides a portal for all users owning Amazon Kindle Fire tablets a way to gain access to the many e-books and apps that can be read and played in the tablet.

The tablet provides the perfect screen size to read e-books on the palm of your hand. I looked at their online catalog and there are indeed many e-books that can be downloaded for free. If you think about it, it is a win-win situation for the users because many well known e-books are given away for free.

New e-books are updated daily to let users have access to the latest published books, best-selling apps, movies, news and many more!

The possibilities are endless and these free e-books all the more makes getting an Amazon Kindle Fire more than worth it. The iPad is too big of a tablet to read on an e-book. But it does not mean it is not a good fit. I am just saying the Kindle Fire is a “better” fit when it comes to e-book reading.

Share the post "RIP Installous"

I never expected this day would come but it just did. Yes, I posted late about this but it was because I was busy during the holidays that I never got to run this app during my very long vacation.

When I learned about it, I thought they upgraded Installous to a new version. But I wondered why there were no updates inside Cydia. I knew something was up so I searched Google and found out to my dismay that Installous is discontinuing its service.

Too bad. Tsk.

I believed Apple had the edge because people especially noobs can easily install cracked games in their jailbroken iDevices without having to worry about looking for specific games. If it is a paid app in the App Store, then it is bound to be also inside Installous.

I did not mind those annoying captcha whenever I open up a download link, whether dead link or not. True. There may be other alternatives there like VShare but the user interface sucks.

Many users are definitely sad while anti-piracy advocates are happy. Who knows, maybe they were the cause of this shutdown.

RIP Installous. It was a good run while it lasted.
