Gameloft again?! Yes, another new game featuring impressive graphics, ridiculous soundtrack and music effects and partially entertaining gameplay.

Now do not get me wrong. I said partially because while I love RPG type of games, I do not like it if the game lets you move the view around, facing up and/or down. However, those who do not care about this feature should find the game entertaining.

If they made it like Dungeon Hunter 1 and 2, I would have wanted to finish this game.

Wild Blood does require a whopping 2GB of data. But hey! If the game looks this good, it is worth it, right? I remember the same thing with The Bard’s Tale. And Unreal Technology? Yes! Just like Infinity Blade.

Become the legendary and brutal Sir Lancelot, fight off the legions of Hell and challenge the mighty King Arthur, who has been enchanted by Morgana. Travel across 10 breathtaking levels on your journey to Avalon with the help of Sir Gawain of the Knights of the Round Table.

You can also play multiplayer with your friends of up to 8 friends in the impressive Team Deathmatch (4 vs. 4) and Capture the Flag modes.

There are many enemies that you will encounter along the way. Face around 20 different enemies including epic bosses. A game this big should keep you occupied for a long time ;).

I had already written a previous review about this game with the Android experience but it was typically a short one because I was frustrated that I only could not finish the end of Chapter 2 because the game simply hangs when Joker shows up.

I think an update was needed but what the heck, I played this game instead in my wife’s iPhone and I was able to finish the game.

I played Superman first and Wonder Woman next. The downside to this game is that you get stuck until level 30. When you play in hard mode, it will be literally hard to finish off your opponents. You also do not get the chance to maximize all your skill points and attributes because you are limited until that level so choose your options wisely.

Support cards are on hand to help boost your attributes. However, I used most of my money to buy the most expensive costume for the character and having to earn more power pack points to upgrade support cards and buy more costumes meant having to repetitively play the same episodes over and over again.

Do not get me wrong, this linear typed brawler game is fun. It is just that the limitations force you to have to do in-app purchases to buy more power pack points which is frustrating. Now, unless you are patient and have all the time in the world, then feel free to do so.

In my case, I stopped playing after having Superman and Wonder Woman reach level 30. The fact that you have to pay 1,500 power pack points just to be able to play the Flash and Green made me want to stop playing the game.

Don’t get me wrong. This is a fun game. I loved it. But I just could not keep on playing it forever because of some limitations.

Playing this in the new iPhone (5) or the latest iTouch may be better than its predecessors. The shortness of the screen had my character not doing any punches at all. I guess I got used with my Samsung Galaxy S2 that the controls were just right where they are supposed to be but in this case gave me a hard time making sure my right thumb was in the right place.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you. I was totally pissed with how this game turned out to be. I mean, true enough the graphics are amazing but how the game is played? Totally screwed me.

The game is described as free to play but it turns out, only the Bloody Knight is free for the whole game. When I selected the Shadow Assassin, there was no message that this was only free for the weekend. I was surprised to find out by Monday why I had to pay for my character to be unlocked.

Then the maker, Defiant said that there was a label in the Google Play page that said that character was on free trial only for the weekend. Now where did they place that message. If it was on top of the description, it would have easily been seen. I bet they purposely put it at the bottom where nobody cares to read anything because users have to click on the MORE button to read more of the description.

Just like how marketing works. Deceptive.

I don’t mind the in-app purchasing for gold but forcing users to purchase characters and not informing them about it before they even start playing the game? That is just bad.

While I enjoyed playing the game, this character in-app deception was what really annoyed me. If you are reading this, only choose BLOODY KNIGHT to play the whole game for free (as what Defiant told me when I emailed them).

As to how to play the game, if you have played Diablo or the Dungeon Hunter games from Gameloft, it is more or less the same. They even have some gesture moves that makes the character do their special power ups.

The graphics are detailed and crisp, the environments are reused in most cases but this is nothing to complain considering the relatively mild file size of the game overall.

Just make sure you choose Bloody Knight if you want to play the whole game for free or else you will end up bloody annoyed when you find out later on your character is locked and you need to purchase it in order to unlock it.
