Error ’80004005′ Operation Must Use An Updateable Query

If you encounter this error message
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error ’80004005′
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access 97 Driver] Operation must use an updateable query.
This problem exists because of user permission problems. To fix this issue, follow these steps:
- go to the folder where your MS Access database file is located
- right click, choose properties, then go to the Securities tab
- look for the user IUSR_<?????>. That is the guest user account
- below it, add write permissions to the user account then click OK
That’s it! Simple. Easy as pie ;).
