Platypus For iTouch

Platypus, developed by BitRabbit and distributed by iDigicon and Astraware, is an arcade shooter that features cute graphics and background worlds that look 3d-ish and clay-ish. I read in an article that every item in the game was formed with modeling clay and photographed for inclusion in the game. Tilt your ship up, down, left and or right whilst blasting enemies in front or behind you. Blast as much enemies as you can. Luckily, you can get a few stars to help upgrade your weaponry or increase your score. Fruits also appear that serve as bonuses for your score when you destroy enemies. The game gives you the option to use the auto-fire mode or not, although by default it is set to that. Moving your ship can be done either using the accelerometer or touch screen controls. If you enjoy tilting your iphone, then use the accelerometer as it is.

The background looks like a set of layered images piled on top of one another that results in looking like a 3d world. This is like any other typical arcade shoot ‘em up kind of game. The game has grown on me but kids would surely love this game.

Like what you see? Buy me a cup of coffee. I love cappuccinos.
