Metalizing services are used in everything from product packaging to industrial processing. But what if you’ve never outsourced your metalizing before? How can you be sure you’re entrusting your goods to the right company? Here are just a few tips for finding a good metalizing service.
1. Look Outside Your Neighborhood
While it’s always more convenient to take advantage of local services rather than sending your products long-distance, don’t discount a great metalizing company that just so happens to be outside your city. If you email them and ask about special accommodations, they’ll probably be more than willing to arrange something with you.
2. Know What You Need
Are you looking to cut, color or coat your products? How fast do you need them completed? What about things like weight restrictions? It’s important to have all the facts in hand before you go shopping around for a metalizing company. If you’re unsure about what you need as a consumer, you might wind up with something you don’t.
3. Count Your Dollars
Metalizing services can get expensive, so if you’re concerned about your budget, make sure you carefully plan your purchase in advance. You don’t want to go into debt because you weren’t able to resist a special metal finish! Bear in mind, too, that you might have to tack insurance or delivery fees onto your existing order price. So count every dollar and make them count.
4. Think About the Environment
If you like to live green, think about using PVD coatings for your products. The acronym stands for “physical vapor deposition,” and it’s one of the most affordable and eco-friendly coating methods around. Talk to a metalizing company to learn more about PVD coating.
5. Read Reviews and Testimonials
What do previous clients have to say about the metalizing company? Were they overcharged or undervalued? Were they generally satisfied with the level of service they received? Put particular stock in anyone who says “I’d never use this company again” or “I’ve already used this company again.” The loyalty of its customers says a lot about a brand.
These are just a few things to consider as you look for metalizing services. They can be one of the most important purchases you make for your business, so try not to cut corners. Spend whatever money is necessary to ensure that you get the services you need.

We all know that we should switch to renewable energy, but everywhere we look someone is saying that it’s cost prohibitive or that it’s not worth it, but that just isn’t true. In fact, it couldn’t be further from the truth. Using renewable energy, like solar power, can be extremely cost effective and can actually increase the resale value of your home. Not only will it increase the resale value but if you are trying to sell your home quickly it will likely help you to sell your home faster than your home would sell without solar panels.
Just How Fast Do These Homes Sell For?
The first question on your mind is probably how much faster can your home sell for if you install solar panels onto your property. While this isn’t a guarantee for results, you can sell your home at least 20 percent faster than it would sell if you didn’t have solar panels. For example, in a development in California the homes were built with solar panel systems already installed. The developer estimated that it would take at least two years for all 257 homes to sell; however, all the homes sold within the first year of being on the market.
This is an excellent result, that means if the average home in your area takes 100 days to sell, on average your home should take 80 days to sell. That isn’t just great, it’s wonderful. Having your home sell 20 days faster can get you into the home of your dreams quicker and out of the home of your past. This is reason number one for installing solar panels.
Sure, They Sell Fast But For How Much?
Now that we know that homes with solar panels sell faster than a standard home, it is time to explore how much they sell for because it doesn’t matter how fast they sell if you have to sell short. However, selling short won’t be a problem especially for those of us who have installed solar panels into our homes. This is because, for example, in that last example I gave, those homes sold for nearly $100,000 more than they were asking for the properties. Having your home sell faster and for more than asking price is one of the best positions that you can find yourself in as a home seller.
While $100,000 extra might be out of the ordinary, on average homes sold for 17 percent more than non-solar homes. This data comes courtesy of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory or NREL. What that means for you is that for every $100,000 you are selling your home for, you can reasonably expect to make an extra $17,000. Again, as a seller, selling your home for more is an excellent position. In fact, that your home will sell for more really offsets any costs that you initially laid out for the solar panels.
Not only does your home sell for more money in a faster time period, you save money on your electricity bill. Saving money on your electricity bill is an excellent reason to get solar panels even if you aren’t thinking of selling your home in the near future. You can save up to $2,000 per year by having solar panels installed which should also have you recouping any money that you had paid for the solar panels when they were first installed. Truly it is a great choice for homeowners. It’s a great choice because it helps you sell your home faster and for more money and it helps you save money while you’re waiting for your home to sell.
