Anything Goes

2011 is by far the worst year that I experienced. And the year has not even ended yet. So many calamities, so many disasters all around the world. I just hate this year. The La Nina phenomenon really thrashed the world.

In my hometown city in the Philippines, it recently got ravaged by storm Sendong. I really am not into voluntary work but considering that my hometown was affected and knowing that many of my friends and relatives’ homes were ravaged, it was the first time I felt that I needed to do something.

Instead of vacation this new year, I may instead volunteer to help any way I can.

I cannot wait when 2011 is finished. There was never anything good that happened. I will forever remember this year as the year that mother nature was tormented badly. Who could blame her though. Global warming is the culprit and man’s abuse of mother nature’s resources led to these devastation.

And I am not just talking about the Philippines where this country is visited by an average of 20 storms annually. Other countries around the world either had twisters, hurricanes, tsunamis, volanic eruptions and earthquakes.

So one more day and it will be 2012. So good riddance 2011! And here is hoping to a more peaceful 2012.
