Cagayan de Oro Needs Some Fixing
2 Years ago, I think the storm that battered Cagayan de Oro City in the Philippines was the worst in the city’s history. At least the worst for me while I am alive. So many people died, so many homes destroyed.
I cannot believe that this month, another catastrophe happened. Although I think the damage may not have been worse as before, still Cagayan de Oro needs some fixing, literally.
Fix the drainage, fix the roads, fix everything. Stop wasting taxpayers money to put up flyovers and use them for something else to prevent disasters like this from happening again.
Yep. This is a call for the officials.
I am lucky that I was not affected when those storm disasters hit Cagayan de Oro because I am based in another City but I was full of worries because my family is there.
I think all my friends are alright. My aunt was not so lucky though. She did not get to save anything. They slept on the roof the whole night since the water level rose. It was a good thing that it did not rise that much since their house was only 1 level.
My mom was worried sick when she could not contact her.
Sigh … it will be another rehabilitating for the city this year. And what a time to happen when Christmas is just a week away. 2011 really sucks! Literally! No good came out this year.
I just hope that the government will make haste in their job to repair those affected.
