The Zookeeper
The Zookeeper’s plot is common but nevertheless, this movie is fun. Well, because of the animals that is. Think Toy Story where a group of zoo animals decide to break their code of silence in order to help their lovable zoo keeper find love, without opting to leave his current job for something more illustrious (from IMDB).
Although even I at first thought that most of the focus would be on the animals, it is not. The animals did not really have many scenes in the movie to enforce that their appearances are very important.
Kevin James did an okay job with his role in the movie and his love interest (Rosario Dawson) who works with him at the zoo, well, we know that it is the two of them who were meant to be in the end. No suspense there.
I guess the highlight of the movie is when Leslie Bibb’s character was sort of karma’d the same way when she turned down Kevin James’ wedding proposal at the start of the movie. Quite hilarious that scene, I suddenly went alive on that one.
Family wise, kids will love this one. Kids love animals. And a talking animal surely will entertain any kid no matter what form it is.
