The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader
The 3rd installment of the Chronicles of Narnia tell the story of Lucy and Edmund Pevensie, who return to Narnia with their cousin Eustace where they meet up with Prince Caspian for a trip across the sea aboard the royal ship The Dawn Treader. Along the way they encounter dragons, dwarves, merfolk, and a band of lost warriors before reaching the edge of the world and rid of the evil smoke that has plagued Narnia.
Say what? First of all, the first two movies are way better than this one. There is no plot here at all. Just some silly journey across the world of Narnia gathering the 7 swords to counter the evil smoke in the evil dark island. Heck, not all the siblings are even present. Of all the people, Edmund had to be in it. He is useless and is just a nuisance character.
Enter Eustace, their cousin which they brought in with the cast to replace Edmund’s uselessness. But actually, amidst all of Eustace’s corny and trying hard ways to make movie watchers laugh, it was quite obvious that he would be the one who would get the last sword and place them all with the rest of the 6 other swords that were needed to be placed together.
The story is hard to understand. Aslan only showed up in the last part of the movie when they were going home. It was like there is no continuity with the movie. Plus there was nothing exciting about getting the swords. Really. This movie is boring.
