River Monsters

No, I am not talking about monsters literally but about the famous tv show that airs in Animal Planet. Jeremy Wade is the world’s most famous fisherman because of his energy, and because of his charm. But mostly it’s because of the monster fish he goes after.

For the show, Wade travels the world to find the biggest, strongest, deadliest — and, well, weirdest — freshwater fish you’ve never heard of. Which is kind of the point. They’re so elusive and mysterious, they’re almost mythical.

Heck even the very first episode he dipped in a pool full of hungry piranhas just to test if they would eat him. Actually, they did not even though the piranhas did not eat for 3 days. They only got to be excited when Wade placed in meat with blood. That’s right! Blood! Just like sharks.

I love this show. I learn a lot of things from him. Heck, I did not even know there is a fish called a vampire fish until I saw an episode of it. It has got these fangs, but they are on the lower jaw so you have got two long fangs on the lower jaw. And they are so long, that when it closes its mouth, they actually recess inside its head. Just looking at those fangs gives me the creeps .
