Great Information And Photos Of Deep Sea Creatures

I always have a fascination for deep sea creatures, whether mythological, legendary or those that are alive today. You may have read news of recent discoveries of just discovered species but I am sure that you have not seen them all. You can find a great number of information in the site of the Census of Marine Life. The site has hundreds of photos of these interesting deep sea creatures.
After I scoured through a few of them in their gallery, I was very astonished at the number of new species named while some that are already identified, I just know about them now. The Census of Marine Life partners with the National Geographic and the Encyclopedia of Life to bring you these collections of deep sea creatures.
Oh and if you want to know what kind of squid the one in this photo is, it is a new species of squid, Promachoteuthis sloani, found along the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.
