Two Executed In China Over Tainted Milk
Remember the tainted milk issue last year when many babies fell ill from drinking milk that contained melamine? Two people were executed Tuesday in China for their part that killed at least six babies and sickened about 300,000 others. It seems others who were involved received jail time penalties.
Man, when I read that news it was so sickening to learn the motive that melamine was secretly added to the milk formula was to increase protein content and fool the FDA. If you also remember, worldwide imports were affected because other countries urged consumers not to purchase any product from China with a milk ingredient.
I wonder what went on in the minds of those two people who got executed. Their relatives’ babies could have been affected as well. I hope and pray that this won’t happen again. I believe the Chinese government meted the right punishments for the people involved. Kudos to them for taking action.
