National Family Solutions
After reading part of the text in the National Family Solutions, I totally agree that it is indeed often a misunderstood concept that in a custody battle, the court most often times sides with the mother. However, in reality, this is and should not be the case. The father has as much right as the mother has with regards to custody. As a father, especially if you are totally new to this situation, you need guidance and knowledge to know what things are needed and if there is processing involved, at a minimal cost, its father’s rights program will help you go through situations like emergency filings, contempt of court filings, custody and visitation enforcement, custody and visitation establishment and child support services to name a few.
what is good about this service is that it is nationwide in America. With its fast and aggressive tactics, combined with its minimal cost service, clients get the same legal matter services that they get from real attorneys, but for less a cost. Apprehensive? Give it a try. Just fill out a form and they will get back to you within 1 business day. It is that fast! See what services they can offer you based on your situation and get the program that you so need to obtain the rights that you deserve for your child/children.

While I agree this is a great program in theory, we’re currently having some problems getting our case manager on the phone - and of course, we just paid the retainer, so the timing is a little suspect. Some paperwork was supposed to get filed today and we have no confirmation although we keep leaving messages for the case manager. While waiting for the phone to ring, I looked up fraud and there seem to be a few instances. Has anyone ever heard of this company being fradulent?

Hi Sarah, I sent out an e-mail to National Family on fri. Jan.16 & received several calls back asking to speak to us. My husband finally returned the call & was told to send them a hundred dollars to get started. They said the sooner we send our money they can get started a.s.a.p & send out some paper work for us to fill out. They also quoted a price around eight to eleven hundred dollars for a child sup. case that’s involved in California & we reside in Indiana. Sounds a little too good to be true. And no we haven’t sent them a payment. I hope all turns out good in your case, pls keep us posted I’m still looking into this service with the hope that it is legit.

Before sending money to National Family Solutions, I would advise anyone to contact the California Bar Association to find out if the company is in operating in compliance with the rules and regulations established by the California Bar Association. I seriously doubt that it is.
As an attorney, I cannot emphasize enough that no one should attempt to represent themselves in a divorce, especially if the opposing party has an attorney. Neither should anyone pay money to any company or person who is not an attorney to prepare divorce papers or any other kind of legal documents. Although anyone has the right to represent themselves in court, the money you are trying to save today by representing yourself could end up costing you far more at a later time to fix a problem you never even thought about. And that’s only assuming the problem can be fixed. You may think your divorce is simple but only by consulting with an attorney can you find out that your situation is far more complicated. Businesses like National Family Solutions that prepare legal documents but cannot give legal advice provide no valuable service to anyone. The best policy is to avoid anyone offering to prepare legal documents.
I have been in court and seen judges deny a divorce to someone whose documents were not properly prepared by a non-attornrey. Attorney’s are not cheap but having everything done right is well worth the cost. You may not have recourse against a non-attorney who impropertly prepares documents but you do have recourse against an attorney who improperly prepares documents.

They helped me a great deal! They told me they couldn’t give legal advice (which is illegal) but professionally prepared my documents and helped me through a difficult custody battle with my ex. As far as the attorney above is concerned, I got SCREWED over by an attorney who dropped my case halfway through. I didn’t have another $3000 to drop on another attorney. For those whom don’t have the financial resources, this is a good alternative. I literally spent a total of five minutes each time in front of the judge (the court documents themselves told me to write down what I should say to him). I don’t think an attorney can do much more in 15 total minutes than I could you know?

I would use this company again if I needed help with family law issues. I tried for eight years to get custody back of my two children, and every time I would go to court for my self the judge would send me on my way. Nothing accomplished! I talked to several lawyers and they would give me a price that was no where in my budget. Then as you know you would have to put at least half up front. National Family Solutions was affordable and would work with me on payments. I started working with them I believe in October of 2008 and by December 12th I was in court. I would have had this done allot sooner but I held us up. They worked fast and very precise with the work they did. After eight years of fighting with my ex-husband and getting no where with the court system on my own National Family Solutions got me custody back. My two children now live with me and I have permanent custody of them. All I can say is Thanks… I couldn’t have done it without them!!!!

Sarah, I’ve heard about National Family Solutions and they are, indeed, a fraudulent company. As far as the comments by Richard and Tasha are concerned, I’m always suspicious of anyone who leaves such “glowing” comments about any company. They are usually the owners or employees of the company or related to them in some way. Tasha’s comment is also on the company web site which makes it all the more suspect as being from a satisfied client. As far as Richard is concerned, if his comment is not also an “inside” job, he needs to look at his own conduct as to why his attorney dropped him. Maybe he was too demanding or wanted his attorney to do something that is unethical or was not truthful with his attorney. Attorneys are not perfect and they are not created equal. Some are definitely better than others. But when you hire an attorney who makes a serious mistake or is unethical, you have recourse through the bar association in your state. You have no such recourse when you hire a non-attorney. Take the attorney’s advice and steer clear of National Family Solutions because they are nothing but bad news.

Just love how “Brenda” is able to make such a claim as “fraudulent”. Maybe “Brenda” is from a competitor? Maybe, “Brenda” is an attorney that lost a potential client to us? Who knows… all I know is that I work for the company and I am in control of our legal staff.
Funny, you would think that out of the twenty five or so people that I manage (many being attorneys within their state doing documents in our system), that one of them would know that we are a fraudulent company. Imagine that, a company that contracts attorney’s to do paperwork, absolutely unheard of and fraudulent right? Ever heard of “LegalZoom.com” or “We The People?” Billion dollar companies that have the same business model… They absolutely must be fraudulent too right?
Brenda, we don’t give out fake testimonials. Tasha is real and we called and asked to repost her testimony on this blog.
Anyone reading this can call us about how we work and what we do. We maintain an “A” rating with the Better Business Bureau for a reason. We do not take every case presented to us. If you have already filed paperwork or retained an attorney, we don’t touch it, if you have a case against the state or have a criminal record regarding child care we don’t take it. We don’t take in many states due to their jurisdictional amendments. So, if you have a family legal matter, give us a call and we’ll see if we can help!

NFS is a scam! The person I talked to at first told me that after paying $100.00 for a retainer I could make monthly payments for the remainder of the amount. He DID NOT tell me that the whole amount needs to be paid BEFORE they process any paperwork or set up any court dates. My caseworker will not return my calls. They just want your money. DO NOT USE THEM!! They are a scam!
As far as the post by TASHA W….the same EXACT post is on the BBB website under someone named Latisha C. NFS are liars..how sad is it when they have to use fake names and write up thier own rave reviews!
