Do Evil People Go To Hell?

I just had a sudden thought. Do evil people really go to hell? It’s quite ironic that corrupt people, even so those who had committed grave crimes who had died actually get pray overs during their wake. What does this mean exactly? So they could go to heaven? Their love ones would hope that their soul gets forgiven so it could rest in peace with our Almighty Father? Although it is one of life’s mysteries that we have no idea what happens in the afterlife, if it were to be true that bad people would go to heaven with the help of prayers, it would be unfair to those who had tried to live the the right way. Don’t get me wrong. I want all souls to go to heaven. We don’t want to spend eternity in hell right? Sadly, we are not perfect and here is a boundary (in my opinion) on how much good or bad a person can be. If there was no boundary, then all of us would go to hell since we are all sinners. God gave us one thing that ultimately decides where we stand with right or wrong, and that is freedom. He gave us the right to choose. If people would choose to go into the dark side (I know, I’ve been watching too much Star Wars movies), it’s just fitting that they answer the consequences bound with it. I’d definitely be pissed if I would know that those evil people who had passed away goes to heaven because their love ones would pray for them that they be forgiven. If this were the case, then we can just all go ahead and keep on sinning since we would still go to heaven once we get prayed over.
However, as I’ve said, this is one of life’s many mysteries. I can only speculate what may be and what may not be. If only there’d be no bad, just all good so we can all live in harmony. But it’s not just the way how it works. Everything has balance. Good and bad, right and wrong. What do you think?

What if I said - You cannot sin your way to hell? Forgiveness is a most amazing gift, alre4ady bought and paid for. He (Jesus Christ) didnt pay the price for some sins. He paid the price for ALL sins.
Whether your spirit spends eternity in heaven or in hell is not an issue of sin/forgiveness. It IS an issue of choosing to make HIM your lord. That is a choice that has to be made before our spirit leaves our body. Not after we are dead.
Maybe this idea will take God out of the box that religion has helped us put Him in.
