[gallery] If you like doing laps in the swimming pool, you might want to stock up on the energy drinks before diving in to this one. It is more than 1,000 yards long, covers 20 acres, had a 115ft deep end and holds 66 million gallons of water.
The Guinness Book of Records named the vast pool beside the sea in Chile as the biggest in the world. But if you fancy splashing out on one of your own - and you have the space to accommodate it - then beware: This one took five years to build, cost nearly £1billion and the annual maintenance bill will be £2million. The man-made saltwater lagoon has been attracting huge crowds to the San Alfonso del Mar resort at Algarrobo, on Chile ’s… Continue reading

Ever happen to you wherein you have a very good spot to take pictures when suddenly someone else moves in front of you and overtakes your place? One experience for me happened yesterday. I was taking pictures of a fashion show where my girlfriend was in. Right when the show started, my hands were in trigger-happy mode. I actually didn’t stand near the aisle as there was a videocamera shooting as well. I did not want to be in the way so I was standing a bit behind on the line. Suddenly, some jackass kid who was like probably 11 years old brushed me aside and stood in front of me, raising his hands and started taking pictures with his cellphone camera. That took me by surprise. By then, I… Continue reading

Funny, but I couldn’t help but write this post after I came upon a teen blog that talked about her high school prom. Ah yes, the prom. I think proms nowadays are more lavish, and more exciting. People are more open minded nowadays and have been exposed to a lot of things compared to during my time. Heck, I even remember the very first “real” bar that opened in my hometown happened after I graduated college. That long right? You could just imagine my life before, most of the time I just stayed put at home. There wasn’t that much go stroll around. So … back to the real topic, prom. Both my prom experiences were kind of funny in a way. On my junior year, my date was the… Continue reading

Soccer is my 2nd least favorite sport out there. My least desirable sport is cricket.
I never experienced going through a whole soccer game on tv. The most that I’ve managed to watch are those scenes when players get a goal or some other play that highlights a good play. Still, I am impressed with die hard soccer fans. They really are the most die-hard fans of sports. Where else do you find big riots within the location of the game itself. About soccer I find it boring. All they do is use their legs to move the ball to the other end for the goal and stop your opponent from doing the same to your end. I like hockey… Continue reading

A friend of mine asked me to read this and I said to myself… not another e-book. I’m so lazy when it comes to reading long stuffs. I never like reading books. The only book that I managed to really like reading is Harry Potter (at this age!). Then, I said to myself, what the heck, I’ll check it out. To my surprise, I ended up reading it all and I enjoyed it. It is pretty short. It’s a funny lil ebook … with an insight … made in a funny way … by another blogger. There was one point that was specifically true. There is no great blog, just a great blogger. To delve into more detail, check the e-book here and let… Continue reading

Hehe, I love this pic! This was (I’m going to use past tense since everyone would read this after the event’s done) for part of the presentation for the ItzAMatch Speed Dating event to be held tomorrow (Apr 26-27, 2008) at the Marco Polo Hotel. I’ve always wanted my hair to be like this though I know it’s not going to happen in real life anyway because I’m too lazy fixing up my own hair. Or I could have may hair fixed like one of the characters of Kung-Fu Kids whose hair sorta forms like a Hershey’s Chocolate Kiss. And I don’t watch that show, I only like the boy’s… Continue reading

I kind of had a long layoff from blogging because I was so busy migrating one of my blogs to my wordpress. Frankly, wordpress is not user friendly to begin with. You’d have to be at least a little bit tech savvy to understand its intricacies. I was forced to use wordpress anyway because I finally bought myself my own domain haha! Yes, my own domain finally. I used to run my domain before when a hosting company had a promotion to have a domain free for a year. It was cool then, but the freebie lasted for only a year so I was back to using a generic domain for my site e.g. chitgoks.___.com. So now that I finally have it (again), I was so occupied with setting everything… Continue reading
